Professor Daya Rohana Athukorala was a lecturer of Department of Educational Psychology in university of Colombo. During his career he has written many books in subject areas such as personality development, positive thinking and anger management etc. He is also well-known public speaker who works to create positive mindset among Sri Lankan society. He has conducted many workshops, Television and Radio programs to empower and motivate Sri Lankans to achieve their objectives in their life.
Dr Daya Rohona’s new project focuses on improving life of Sri Lankans, mainly who are living out of the country. Most of Sri Lankans who are living out of the country are isolated and it has led them for negative behaviors or addictions such as excessive alcohol usage. He identified reasons behind these problems and addressed these issues by introducing an online course which helps to improve their life standards and encourage to succeed in life. This online course “Principles of success and personality-development” has created based on “positive physiological capital” principles. He seeks 1 million investment to setup a online education platform to distribute his course to audience who lives in abroad. He intends to include course contents in “Sinhala” medium because these kind of training programs in Sinhala language are very rare.
